My goodness, how is it already the end of August? The summer went by too fast 🙁 We live in the northern Wisconsin, where most of the year is winter. So yes, I’m sad that summer is coming to an end. Anyways, here’s my currently inked. I actually had more fun colors but had since wrote some pens dry so this is what replaced them. Yes, starting to put in some “fall” colors in there. It’s fine, everything’s fine.
∙ Papa J Fountain Pen with a Fine nib, inked with Sailor Ink Studio #373 — I’m so glad I figured out what ink to put in this. The nibs writes so smoothly. I very much enjoy writing with this pen.
∙ Sailor x Ancora Pro Gear Lemon with a Medium nib, inked with Colorverse Gluon — I honestly, LOVE this pen. My very first Sailor Medium nib and it was instantly a favorite. It wrote so well and this pen + ink combination is just perfection. I love this so much.
∙ Sailor x Posie Pro Gear Hanabira Mochi with a Broad nib, inked with Wearingeul Purgatorio — Another surprise favorite. Even though this is a broad nib, I do enjoy writing with it in my journal. Right now I have too light of an ink in it, but later, I will put something more legible so I can write with it more.
∙ Sailor x Ancora Pro Gear Slim Lavender Limited Set with a Fine nib, inked with Sailor Lavender Ink — This pen and ink combination is beautiful. I do with it was an MF nib… because it’s not as legible sometimes. Alas, it’s okay. I love. If anything, I can just put a darker ink in it 🙂
∙ Sailor x Hachimonjiya Pro Gear Slim Mini Kubo Sakura Bloom Pink with a Medium Fine nib, inked with Diamine Inkvent Cashmere Rose(Pen was purchased through Good Pen Life) — Okay, this ink surprised me. I hated it at first but my gosh, it’s my favorite this summer! It brought so much life into my pages. Highly recommend.
∙ Sailor x Bungubox Profit Jr+ Cinderella’s Slipper with a Medium Fine nib, inked with Sailor Yurameku Kyokuya — Ohhh, it was hard to figure out what to put in this but I settled for this green shade of ink and I think I like it. I don’t think I’ll use it until September, as I’m still in summer colors mode haha.
∙ Aurora 888 Limited Edition Volterra with Fine nib, inked with Ferris Wheel Press Oyster Hour — A classic, in a classic. Oyster Hour has been one of my favorite inks, for as long as I can remember. It works great with this pen and nib. I never have any issues with it until this year. I have noticed some feathering in my A6 techo. Nothing serious, like… just don’t stare lol.
∙ Platinum x NBC #3776 Century Peppermint Tea with a Fine nib, inked with Usagiya ink (Pen was purchased through Sakura Pens) — Oh wow. This pen did surprise me. I didn’t think I would like the colors and how it’s transparent, but here I am swooning over it. And the ink that Sakura Pens send over is the perfect match! I just love it so much. Another favorite this summer.
∙ Pilot Kakuno Pink with a Fine nib, inked with Sailor x Hachimonjiya Kubo Sakura ink — I got a Kakuno! And this ink is actually legible with it. I’m excited! I’ll be using it in my journal next week and I am just so freaking excited.
A total of 11 pens. I’m hoping to use up some for these by end of August to bring in some new pens for September/fall. Can’t wait to see what that line up will look like.
