How To Pack: 10 Days in a Carry-On

Here are some tips on how to pack for March in Italy.

Tip #1: Check the weather
Don’t miss this step! Knowing the weather will help you figure out what to pack for your entire trip.

Tip #2: Pick out your outfits
Planning out your outfits ahead of time will help you not over pack and saves you time when getting ready. You don’t necessarily have to know what to wear for each day (unless you want to) but knowing what goes with what truly does help.

Tip #3: Pack clothes you can re-wear
For example, pack 2 pairs of jeans for a 5 day trip. πŸ™‚ Pack something that you know will not loose it’s fit and something that can easily pair with a lot of other things. This will save you space in your suitcase.

Tip #4: Pack clothes that are thin/can fold easily
I know that cozy thick sweater is so tempting! But resist haha, if anything just bring ONE! Clothes doesn’t have to be necessarily thin but something that can fold flat is better than something that’s so bulky.

Tip #5: Pack clothes you can layer
Since you don’t want to bring bulky items, make sure that what you bring is something you can layer and will keep you warm.

Tip #6: Pack 1 skirt or 1 dress for a special night
You never know right? So at least have something that you can dress up in case something comes up!

Tip #7: Fold everything as flat as possible or roll
I fold everything lol. But if you’re a roller, then go ahead πŸ˜‰

Tip #8: Pack your basics
Don’t know what to pack? PACK BASICS! White t’s, black t’s… super easy to mix and match with pretty much anything!

Tip #9: Take photos of your outfits
I always try on all the outfits and take photos but you don’t have to do this if you don’t have time. Instead, just lay out your clothes then take a picture. You can even take notes if you want, just so you know what goes with what if you forget hehe.

Tip #10: Wear the bulkiest item(s) you have
Jackets, hats, boots (etc) are always so hard to pack! Instead, wear them!

Tip #11: Start with the bulky items
When packing, start with the bulkiest items. Everything else that’s small will easily fill the gaps πŸ™‚

Tip #12: Roll pieces that doesn’t wrinkle
Again, roll if you can!

Tip #13: Pack an extra bag/duffle/tote
Just in case you did some shopping and need space then you are good to go!

Tip #14: Pack a dust bag or plastic bag
You don’t want your shoes with your clothes or your dirty clothes with your clean clothes. So.. this is your solution for that πŸ™‚

Tip #15: Pack a bar of soap or dryer sheet
This will help your suitcase to stay smelling good your whole trip!

Tip #16: Dual Voltage
Make sure wherever you’re going that you are able to use your electronics.

Tip #17: Organize with pouches
This will keep you organize and know exactly where things are πŸ™‚
