I can not believe that I am here, already thinking about what I want to use for 2026. This past year I’ve learnt that I just one book for everything. With that said, I am still memory keeping/journaling in my Hobonichi A6 Techo, but I have not been using my Hobonichi Weeks. Instead, I have been using the Hobonichi A6 Weekly supplement. I’m very much happy with my current set up but I do find myself wanting a bit more room sometimes. So, I’m considering the Midori Diary Hibino.
The Midori Diary Hibino is a 1 day on 2 pages journal. The layout has always intrigued me, plus it’s in English and it looks like it lays flat. It really looks great, I’m just concern of the chunk. I tried to look up “completed” journals but didn’t have any luck. Or if I did, it’s mostly writing. I’m wanting to see more of a “memory keeping” “scrapbooking” type of completed journal with it haha. I really just want to see if it can handle the chunk. I also wonder how it will look in my Hermes Ulysse PM notebook cover, since it does have “thicker” textured cover, compared to the Hobonichi A6 Techo.
I’ll keep an eye out over on YouTube and Instagram, but I do think I will go ahead and purchase it as my 2026 planner & journal, this September. If all fails, I’ll go back to the basics -Hobonichi A6 Techo with the Weekly Supplement. I do however want to know if any of you have any other recommendations. I know Midori has an A6 diary, but the daily pages aren’t dated. I can not work with undated journals. But yes, would love to hear any of your thoughts and recommendations. I leave you with this photo. You can peep how chunky my journal has gotten and it’s only August.
