Ready to fall in love for a lifetime ☽

9 months preparing to fall in love for a lifetime

As I’m writing this, I’m currently exactly 38 weeks pregnant. I honestly can not believe we actually made it this far. Last Monday, which was four days ago, I was 37 weeks and 3 days pregnant; AND was already 4cm dilated (the week before that I was 1-2cm dilated). I’ve been anxious like you wouldn’t believe, ever since. Though I’ve been taking it easy this week because well, I can wait a little longer and wanted to get a little bit of work done haha. But if he comes this weekend, I’d be totally okay with that 🙂 We are just so excited to have him in our arms.

Any who, I wanted to create this post to do an update and talk about what these last few months have been like. Also answer some questions that I’ve gotten regarding the pregnancy.

How I’m feeling

For the most part, I’m feeling pretty good. I honestly LOVE being pregnant until the last two months. Towards the end of June I woke up with numbness on both my hands (worse on my right hand). Turns out that you can get carpal tunnel during pregnancy because your body retains so much water. At first it scared me because it could’ve been something worse, but since I have no high blood pressure and am healthy with no complications, my doctor and physical therapist said it’s only carpal tunnel. The only thing they really recommended me doing was wearing a wrist brace. Which to be honest, I would wear but I felt like it never really did anything for me. My hands would still get super numb to a point where I can not bend my fingers nor make a fist. It’s honestly been awful since I need my hands to do work in my sticker shop, edit videos and even write blog posts.

Recently this past week though, the carpal tunnel hasn’t been that bad. I was able to edit videos the past few days and write up some blog post. Though they still get numb, as long as I keep my hands flat on the keyboard and mouse, the pain is bearable.

Cravings

Remember before when I said that I don’t have any cravings? Well the past few weeks my cravings have been crazy. All I want are oranges, watermelons, cantaloupes, chocolate milk and cereal. Well, and also water – I drink SO MUCH WATER it is crazy.

Speaking of food, I believe I mentioned before that I can not eat chicken and seafood because it triggers my eczema, more so now that I’m pregnant. Well, I still don’t eat all of that BUT my skin seem to be okay when I eat KFC. So there’s that at least haha.

My mood

Oh my goodness, I am so emotional ya’ll. I cry all the time, with movies, tv shows, even commercials! Even songs makes me cry!? Also, I find that I have no chill the past month. I get so annoyed so easily, sometimes I feel so bad because, seriously you guys, Tom is the nicest person in the entire planet, and I can just be so mean to him. Ie: He gave me a kiss goodnight and I literally freaked out because I was finally falling asleep and he semi woke me up so I yelled at him. lol He still tolerates me though bahaha.

Sleep

I have my good days and bad. According to my fitbit (lol), my average is about 5-6 hours of sleep a night. Sometimes I even get 7-8 hours (I feel like a champ when that happens). Lately though, it’s been between 4-5 hours, only because I’m getting more and more anxious. Also, looking at my fitbit, I tend to wake up around 4am everyday for a minute or two, to pee I’m guessing? Half the time I don’t even remember that I got up haha.

Questions

Q: When is your due date?
A: August 17, 2018

Q: How has this pregnancy affected your relationship with Tom?
A: I would say that we’re happier and closer than ever. We’ve never really had problems nor fought about things before so it’s the same on that aspect but I can tell that we’re happier. We’re both really excited. Tom has been amazing throughout this entire thing too. He seems to be more affectionate and alert (I think that’s the word I’m looking for). I love him. He’s gonna be a great dad ♥

Q: Are you going to hire a helper to help you out with household and cleaning chores?
A: I honestly don’t think we’ll be needing one. If anything my sister and parents can always help haha (well I hope so at least). But I have faith that Tom and I can handle it on our own.

Q: Are you experiencing back pain, swollen legs, mood swings or more baby kicks? If so, how are you managing it?
A: I used to have back pains in the beginning, then it switched to side aches. I don’t have swollen legs. No “mood swings” really, or am I lying? LOL And YES! Liam kicks A LOT. ALL THE TIME. Especially when I’m eating or drinking something or trying to sleep.

Q: Have you still been having contractions?
So far it’s all Braxton Hicks contractions, thought last night I had a few that were pretty painful.

Q: Is baby boy more active during the night or day?
He’s active probably more so during the day time though. He never really wakes me up in the middle of the night which is nice.
