As you can see, they did not have anything on the windows before and the dining set was just too big for me. I felt like it really made the room look smaller. Also, the paint color they had had a yellow undertone.
So after a few coats of fresh paint and window treatments… ♥
Paint Color: Sherwin Williams Incredible White
Table from Shopko | Chairs from Christopher Knight available at Amazon, Overstock
If you’ve been following me or my blog, then a few things might look familiar to you (old blog post here). We decided to keep our dining table that we got for such a steal and our comfy dining chairs. I love how the cherry wood top of our dining table matches all the cabinetry in our new house. ♥
Chandelier from Amazon
So I saw this chandelier from Pottery Barn and just fell in love. But I just can’t justify paying almost $900 for a light fixture. So while browsing on Amazon I ended up finding the exact same one for a more affordable price! I am so excited and I seriously squeal (still) every time I look at it! It’s just so beautiful. We’ve gotten a ton of compliments on it. If you’re wondering, the seller was quick to ship the item, it arrived within 3 days I believe! It was really easy to install, just really tedious because you have to hang each crystal piece one at a time. Took us about 2.5 hours, but so worth it though!
Canvas from Pier 1 Imports
Art work/canvases are always hard for us to find. We looked everywhere! After about a month of looking, we found this one from Pier 1 Imports and it’s just stunning. We love the colors and the size is just perfect for that big empty wall.
Mosaic Vase from Pier 1 Imports (in stores) | Faux Stems from Hobby Lobby (in stores)
While I was at Pier 1, I saw that all the mosaic vases were on sale and this one caught my attention. It’s bigger than what I usually go for but I thought it’s a good size and would look great even when there’s no place settings (dinnerware) on the table.
I usually love hydrangeas on dining tables but I decided to switch that up a bit with these… what are these called? haha I found this faux stems from Hobby Lobby for cheap too! I think it was 50% off so it was $8 for two stems. Good deal if you ask me hehe.
Candle holders from Jo-Ann | Batt operated Candles from Walmart
I had forgotten that I bought these candle holders. I found them at Jo-Ann early this year, in Spring. They’re actually ceramic and have a lot of weight to them 🙂
Placemat + Plate from TJ Maxx | Bowl from Pottery Barn
Napkin from Target | Napkin Ring from Pier 1 Imports
I love my neutrals but I’m seriously wanting some light blue/mint plates… maybe I’ll get some later. I think a splash of blue would look great in this setting. Anyways, I kept it all neutral for now. I can’t wait to add pumpkins and splash of blues/dark purples in there end of this month! ♥
That wraps up this post 🙂 I hope you all enjoyed it! This weekend, other than spending time with our family and relax, we are going to be doing some work around the house. We got a custom sign made for our living room and have purchase a few other things to decorate with around the TV so, I can’t wait to work on that. What are your plans this Labor Day weekend?
