Q1 Planner & Journal Update

I can not believe that we’re already onto the second quarter of the year; and because of that… it’s time for a little update on how things are going and a few of my favorites I’ll start off with my Traveler’s Company passport and regular size. – My passport is not picture as it honestly hasn’t been used. It’s ultimately my travel journal and we haven’t done much traveling since last August, so I haven’t been using it.

As for my TN regular size, I use this a few times a week as a “feelings” (as I like to call it) journal. Literally just writing down what I feel at that moment or of the day and/or week. Whatever really goes in this journal. I love this one as I get to play around with different kinds of layouts and stickers, ephemera etc.

My beloved Hobonichi Weeks (Smooth Milk Tea) – What can I say? This is my favorite. It’s just perfect! One, I’m glad they made an English version. Not that it’s not functional in Japanese, it just makes it a bit more, personable I suppose, as now, I can read everything. Two, it’s honestly the perfect size. I love the monthly overview, it’s my favorite for I love seeing an overview of our month (events, appointments etc). The weekly is also great for it has just enough room if all the things. Sometimes I have a lot to do, sometimes not. Either way, it just works. The back pages are also great for notes and other things. Yes, I love this planner haha. Nothing bad to say about it.

Ink Journal – Took me a while to figure out how to properly archive my inks so I’m very happy that I finally have a system that works. This is an A6 Day Free as I decided I will organize by month instead of by brand (because, if I do it by brand, I don’t know how many pages I would need and it would absolutely bother me if one has more page than the other or if I run out and have to create a new section blah blah blah) haha.

So yes, I’m organizing by month and it’s been working amazingly. In the monthly pages I swatch the inks I purchased/received that month. I don’t go by the dates on the monthly pages, I just swatch in the boxes and it helps keep the swatches organize. Now in the back pages is where I do the writing samples. I have tabbed the back pages by month too so it’s easy to look for the ink’s writing sample. I definitely love how this ink journal is working.

Last but not the least is my Memory Keep for 2023. Avec is definitely the way to go for me as I’ve already started bulking this up. I love my Memory Keep as it’s more a photo diary for my sun/as a family. I love creating collages with our photos and ahhh.. makes my heart happy looking back.
