March Currently Inked

I don’t know about you, but I can never finish all of the pens that I have inked in a month. Maybe a pen or two, three even, but never all. Oh but when that happens, you’ll be the first to know haha. Anyways, here’s my currently inked for the month. Some are carried over from February and you know what, that’s okay. I honestly haven’t had much time to do any journaling so I barely touched my pens the past two months. Sad but true. I’m gonna try harder this month. I don’t like the feeling of being so far behind in my journal. Okay, enough blabbing, let’s get into the pens.

Starting off with the pens that carried over from the previous month:

TWSBI Eco Caffe with Bronze in an Extra Fine nib, inked with Wearingeul The Nightingale and the Rose – Thoughts: Lovely ink color and even though it’s a shimmery ink, I have no flow issues with it being in an extra fine nib. I will say that when writing with it, I see little to no shimmer being disperse. I guess that’s the only down side.

Pilot x Hachimonjiya Book White Capless Decimo in a Fine nib, inked with Ferris Wheel Press Lady Rose – Thoughts: As I mentioned in the video, WOW. I haven’t used this ink in about two years. I don’t know what happened but it was never this legible. I’m guessing it’s because it’s old/has expired? I store my inks in drawers (no sun) so I’m not really sure what happened but, I am not complaining. The ink has a great flow in the Fine nib. I love it.

Platinum x Kobayashi Sakura Gozen #3776 Century in an Extra Fine nib, inked with Sailor Manyo Kuri – Thoughts: I wrote this dry from the previous month. I loved it so much that I inked it back up. So yes, it’s a great combination. Love it! Highly recommend this color ink.

Sailor x Pen Point Pro Gear Cosmos in a Fine nib, inked with Sailor Manyo Azuki – Thoughts: This nib is amazing! The ink matches it perfectly. I wasn’t a fan of the color at first but it grew on me and it has a great flow.

Sailor Profit Junior White Night in a Calligraphy, inked with Ferris Wheel Press Billowing Blush – Thoughts: I love these pens by Sailor. The nibs are fun and great for headers, practicing some lettering. Billowing Blush is a shimmery ink, but I don’t really see it when writing with this. I’m not sure if I sucked up enough or what. I don’t experience any clogging though, so that’s good.

Goshhhh these nibs are so beautiful.

And here are the new pens I’ve inked up. I’m so looking forward to journaling with them because I haven’t used some of these since last year.

Leonardo Momento Zero Nuvola w/ Gold Trim in an Extra Fine nib, inked with Pilot Iroshizuku Fuyu-Syogun – Thoughts: The nib on this pen is so good. I honestly didn’t expect to like it as much as I do. Nib is smooth and with this ink, it has a good flow. Love the combination.

Sailor Shikiori Kusa Asobi in a Fine nib, inked with Colorverse Coffee Break – Thoughts: You know, for a steel nib, this is amazing. I love these pens by Sailor. Great for everyday writing and I also forgot how good this ink is. So pretty. I do notice that I feels dry sometimes but overall, I do like the combination.

Platinum 3776 Century, Maruzen Marunouchi × Sunrise Ouka in a Fine nib, inked with Scribo Rosa Antico – Thoughts: I love this ink! I don’t remember which pen I had it in before but I do notice that it’s a bit dry with this pen/nib. I haven’t used it as much just yet so I will have to report back next time. So far, it’s okay.

Platinum 3776 Century x NBC Chai-Tea in a Fine nib, inked with Nonble Tea Ink Chai – Thoughts: Ohhhhh, this pen and ink combination is chefs kiss! It came with the pen so you could say they know what they’re doing. No complaints here. I love it.

Little Note that I’m still using the Hobonichi A5 Day Free, and during this, I did not experience any feathering or bleeding. That’s good I guess. I’ll stick with it for the rest of the year.
